As a set builder, you will be responsible for helping bring visions to life on the Wesley Hall stage for Cornerstone. This will include helping with painting, construction, and installation. No experience is required; training will be provided. Times and dates will vary depending on the set needs of venues; an email will be sent out when help is needed at least one week prior to building day. Time commitment varies based on set design, but each build could take an average of 2-5 hours.

Throughout the year, HPUMC plans special events for our congregation. Welcoming our guests and showing them radical hospitality are important to HPUMC. Join our special events hospitality team to help out at Starting Point, Galentine's, Men's Events, Tower Arts, Rejebian Series, and so much more!

Support our wonderful Spotlight Musical Theater actors in the creation, rehearsal, and performance of an original musical. Your role will include running lines with cast members, prompting actors for entrances and exits, and jumping in on any other tasks the production requires. Rehearsals take place on Saturdays from 9 to 11 am.

You must attend a 2.5-hour training to volunteer in Belong programs. No prior experience working with individuals with disabilities is required.

Support teen and adult participants ages 16 and up as they learn to play the drums, keyboard, or ukulele. There are ten one-hour rehearsals before a fun Rock Band concert! Rehearsals are typically on Tuesdays from 2 to 3:30 pm.

Your role will include running lines with cast members, prompting actors for their scenes, and jumping in on any other tasks the production requires. Rehearsals typically take place on Wednesday evenings from 5 to 8 pm.

The stagehand helps with the setting and striking of scenery and/or props during each Cornerstone service in Wesley Hall. These could include, but are not limited to, tables, chairs, stools, podiums, platforms, musical equipment, etc. No experience is required; training will be provided. This role is supervised by the Production Manager. Time commitment options include one or both of the following times: Sunday from 8 am to 10:45 am and/or Sunday from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm.

Join us on Sunday mornings as we help our middle school students navigate questions regarding faith, doubts, the Bible, and more! Our team of pastors will walk alongside you to equip and empower you with both biblical and theological knowledge. You don't have to know every answer, but you do need to love teenagers and be ready to wrestle with their questions.

The purpose of the Hub is to create a space for guests to learn more about HPUMC, connect with others, and find ways to plug into the church. We have two Hub locations, one outside Wesley Hall and one outside the Sanctuary. This is a monthly Sunday morning commitment in either location. Training will be provided.

After worship every Sunday at The Table, congregants enjoy a lunch together. Donations for these meals are accepted in the form of prepared meals as well as financial donations. (Prepared meals can be purchased from a vendor, or prepared by a group or individual.) If you'd like to donate a prepared meal, please complete the registration linked in the button. Every Sunday, the congregation of The Table gathers for Bible Study, worship, and lunch at the Austin Street Center Chapel. Volunteers are needed to greet congregants, make and serve coffee, set up to serve meals, and clean up afterward. Bible Study starts at 10:30 am, worship services begin at 11 am, and lunch is served immediately after. Everything wraps up by 12:30 pm.

Come serve at The Walk, Belong's Sunday School program for kids, teens, and adults. At The Walk, individuals with disabilities can grow their faith while enjoying fellowship together. Our classroom settings accommodate individuals of all ages, interests, and abilities. We offer a Child Discovery Class, a Teen Seekers Class, and an Adult Believers Class.
