SERVE WITH HPUMC

"Every believer has received grace gifts, so use them to serve one another as faithful stewards of the many-colored tapestry of God's grace." -1 Peter 4:10

We envision the church, empowered by the Holy Spirit, serving across all ministries, including in worship services, all age levels, adults, care, and disability ministries. We believe the Holy Spirit grants us spiritual gifts, according to God's design, to use for the good of others, meeting their needs and where they are. We encourage engagement that is relational and actively interpersonal, as we serve as individuals and in groups to grow in spiritual community with each other and with those whom we serve.

VNA Meals on Wheels Delivery Driver

HPUMC operates five Meals on Wheels routes for the Visiting Nurse Association, serving hundreds and providing thousands of meals each year to home-bound individuals and couples. HPUMC drivers operate Monday through Thursday, some driving weekly and some driving once a quarter. This opportunity is as flexible as your schedule allows. Not only do we provide healthy meals to those in need, but we also provide an opportunity for connection and relationship with folks that are rarely able to get out. This is a lifeline for so many in a variety of ways. Training and practice routes with current drivers are available. Background check required. Volunteers will be expected to drive their own cars during deliveries.

Can you help us by patrolling on Wednesday nights, keeping an eye on students and assisting at outdoor events? You're perfect for this role if you love the church, safety, and do not care if you make a teenager mad! At HPUMC Youth our team will celebrate your service!
