Do you have a special skill or hobby you'd love to teach others? Whether it's arts and crafts, yoga, cooking, gardening, or games, we would love for you to teach four sessions of a one-hour weekly class to a group of adult participants. We promise it’s an absolute blast!

This critical role serves a minimum 12 Sundays per year in order to help foster relationships and help our kids feel safe, known, and loved. You may be asked to step in and deliver curriculum to students. Lessons will be sent ahead of time. Opportunities are available at both the 9:30 or 11 am service times. We would love to have you serve 12 Sundays a year. Anyone working with children is required to complete a background check and MinistrySafe training every two years.

If you read music, this is a great opportunity to use your musical gifts to give back by enhancing Sanctuary worship through ringing in our Epworth Handbell Choir. The Epworth Handbell Choir rehearses once week from September to April and plays in worship 4 to 5 times per year. No prior experience required, but must read music to participate.

Join us at Explorers where teens and adults ages 16 and up share a meal, listen to a devotional, and break out into small groups. Explorers is held one Tuesday a month from 6 to 7:30pm.

You must attend a 2.5-hour training to volunteer in Belong programs. No prior experience with individuals with disabilities is required.

Do you love basketball, volleyball, or pickleball? We would love to have you join us on Wednesday nights to create a fun and safe environment for HPUMC Youth. You'll help start basketball games, make sure that students are being kind to one another, and help students set up for other sports they may want to play in the Tolleson Gym! Thank you for helping them see the church as a place that is fun!

Hope Supply Co. supports families and mothers with infants and young children with needs including diapers, wipes, baby formula, and more. Sign up with a small group to help Hope Supply Co. organize and package items for families in need.

The HPUMC Care Team is a wonderful lay care and visitation program that makes a significant difference in the lives of our parishioners who are sick, injured, or aging. Care Team members are matched with a care receiver in the hospital, rehabilitation facility, or retirement home, or with those who are homebound. The Care Team member's actions—whether making phone calls, sending cards, visiting, or contacting the care receiver's family member—make a significant impact. The program meets on the fourth Monday of the month from Noon to 1:30 pm.

Journey is a dementia respite program. Volunteers are paired with a participant with dementia to help them in activities. The program meets each Thursdays from 9:45 am to 2:15 pm to provide respite for the caregivers of participants. We have music, exercise, brain games, low-impact activities, social time, and more.

Join one of our three Kids Choirs and learn how to use your singing voice to praise and give back to God. Along with performances in Cornerstone and Sanctuary services, Kids Choirs also perform at events such as Advent Festival. Our Kids Choirs rehearse throughout the school year on Sunday mornings after the 9:30 am services.
