Carpenters for Christ: Build house #123 with us this fall!

Join an amazing group of HPUMC moms as we study “I Guess I Haven’t Learned That Yet” by Shauna Niequist. Engage in conversations about real life and have fun with fellow moms. Childcare is provided. Young Adult Bible Study: The Gospel of John

Richard Rohr’s book “Breathing Under Water” teaches the gospel principles found in the 12 Steps and bridges the gap between spirituality and scripture. You will leave with a tool kit and action plan to grow in understanding and effectiveness in your spiritual walk as a Christian. This class will be held weekly on Mondays, Sept. 19 through Nov. 21.

Beyond the Broken Heart

If you are grieving the death of a loved one or friend and feel lonely or overwhelmed by sadness, join us on a journey through grief. Julie Yarbrough, author and HPUMC church member, will lead a “Beyond the Broken Heart” grief support group. This class will be held weekly on Tuesdays, Sept. 13 through Oct. 18.

C.S. Lewis and the Quest for the Meaning of Life

In this fast-paced, energetic twelve-week course, we’ll examine Lewis’s most penetrating, illuminating, and inspiring writings. Each weekly session will consist of independent, at-home reading followed by in-class viewing of a series of talks given by Dr. Michael Ward of Oxford, a man the New York Times has called “the foremost living Lewis scholar.” This class will be held weekly on Tuesdays, Sept. 13 through Dec. 20.
