If you listened to Rev. Rasmussen’s sermon this past Easter, you likely recognize the name Chad Mooney. Chad, a member of HPUMC, is battling an incurable form of cancer. Over the past five years, he has been operated on 32 times and has undergone multiple rounds of chemotherapy.

Despite all of that, Chad made it a point to attend all four services where Rev. Rasmussen preached on Easter Sunday because he believes his story can be a light for others.

In his message, Rev. Rasmussen used Chad as an example of what it means to live with confidence in the Gospel, even in the midst of trouble or difficulty. In the video above, Rev. Rasmussen shares what it really looks like to have a ‘Resurrection Perspective’ and why Chad’s story should be an example for us all.
