While you may have thought there were wild animals stampeding through HPUMC this past week of June 3 – 7, those were actually just kids participating in this year’s Vacation Bible School.
Fittingly, the theme of VBS this year was “ROAR,” with lessons about how life is wild and God is good.
“The week of VBS is unlike any other week of the year,” said Amanda Garman, Associate Director of HPUMC Kids. “My favorite part is the amazing energy that you feel throughout the building. Kids are so excited to sing about Jesus, make new friends, and have a great time together.”
In total, over 940 kids participated, from three-year-olds to fifth-graders.
Helped by 300 youth and adult volunteers, each day, the children sang VBS songs, played games, did science experiments, made crafts, and met safari guides in drama.
