Night OWLS (Out With Loving Sitters) is a respite program for families throughout the DFW area that is open to children with disabilities and their siblings. Each child is paired with a trained volunteer for an evening full of fun activities and events. Nurses are also present to assist with any medical needs. Due to the high demand for quality respite, families are offered a spot at Night OWLS each month based on a random lottery system. If a family received respite the month prior, then they are not eligible for the following month’s lottery. By using this system, we are able to offer families respite about once every three months.
