Change lives in Guatemala!

HPUMC is excited to re-partner with HELPS International for an impactful summer mission trip. HELPS addresses the root causes of poverty in Guatemala by focusing on four key areas: agriculture, community development, education, and health care.

Many Guatemalans face health hazards in their daily lives. The open fires often used for cooking inside homes can lead to respiratory problems and severe burns; for children under five years old, acute respiratory infection is the leading cause of death.

With your participation, we can help remedy this devastating problem. Mission Trip volunteers will help build stoves for those in need and participate in community-building work in Guatemala. The fuel-efficient ONIL cook stove is a safe alternative to open fires, removing smoke from the home and reducing firewood usage by 70%. We hope to change lives for generations. Ready to join us? Register today, and get ready to make an impact.
