IN LOVING MEMORY

Chance’s Cafe is named in memory of Chance Urschel. Chance was a Belong participant who showed God’s love by helping people whenever he could, and empowered others to do the same. Now, his servant’s heart lives on through Chance’s Cafe.

CHANCE'S CREW MEMBERS

Efrain Lopez

“I enjoy getting to meet different people and learn new recipes. As a Chance’s Crew Leader, I get to train, supervise, and help the crew members in the kitchen. Something I’ve learned is that people may communicate differently, but they all have unique skills that they are good at and I learn from them every day.”

Sarah Salaiz

“I love making coffees and pies for the customers. I’ve learned how to clean, grind coffee, and serve others. My crew members are nice to me which makes me feel happy to come to work. I love building friendships with them and I hope to work at Chance’s forever.”

Will Collett

“When I come to Chance’s, I’m so happy to see my friends again. I love when people make jokes and puns that make me laugh. As a crew member, I’ve learned to wash mugs and coffee airpots, and I really like having a schedule and routine to follow. When I arrive at work I’m ready to go and feel like I have a purpose. I know I make my parents and grandparents proud.”
