We know many of you will be on vacation or out of town this summer but don't forget there is still so much to look forward to this summer at HPUMC! We have countless ways for all ages to learn, connect, and grow with events, groups, and classes. Take a look at a few of the opportunities below, and choose one (or more) to add to your summer schedule! If you’re out of town or unable to be with us in person, you can always tune in and worship with us online.

Rejebian Series

Wednesdays, June & July | 7-8 pm | Wesley Hall
The Rejebian Series is back! The beloved book review series will start back on June 7 with "Unsettled Land: From Revolution to Republic, the Struggle for Texas" by Sam W. Haynes. The book has won several awards, including prizes from the Texas Institute of Letters and the Texas State Historical Association, and was listed as one of Foreign Affairs' "Best Books of 2022.” Sam himself will be presenting it, kicking off a series of amazing authors and book reviewers this summer.

Take a Class: “Just This”

Tuesdays, June 20 - July 18 | 10-11:30 am | Online
Dive into “Just This” by Richard Rohr with us this summer. The book is a collection of meditations and practices that encourage and guide us to cultivate the gift of seeing the beauty of reality in all its glorious ordinariness. Rohr creates a spaciousness for the soul to grow into a kind of seeing that goes far beyond merely looking to recognizing and appreciating. This is the heart of contemplation, where we learn how to see what we behold.

Cornerstone Midsummer Night: Dinner and Worship

We hope this time of worship and connection will leave you feeling renewed and refreshed. Don’t forget to invite your friends, neighbors, or coworkers!

VBS: Ready, Set, Move

If you can't volunteer in person, this is a great way to support VBS from afar. Support VBS.
