What happens when good things become gods?

Money. Cars. Success. Phones. Relationships… There’s nothing wrong with these things in and of themselves.

The problem comes when we begin to expect these things to do for us what they can’t actually do. That’s when we make them into something that has more of our heart then they are designed to have.

“Idolatry is simply taking good things and expecting them to do more for us than they can actually do.” – Rev. Matt Tuggle
