HPUMC hosts A Candid Discussion on Race & Corporate Leadership”

November 02, 2020

On Thursday, October 29, three of Dallas' most influential business leaders participated in a candid discussion on race and leadership in a roundtable presented by the Mark Craig Leadership Network and moderated by former Mayor of the City of Dallas, Mike Rawlings. The goal was to help each of us gain a deeper understanding of racial issues in the workplace and share what leaders are doing to ensure a more diverse and inclusive environment.

Roundtable participants included: Fred Perpall, CEO of The Beck Group, David Huntley, Chief Compliance Officer of AT&T, and Chris Reynolds, Chief Administrative Office, Manufacturing & Corporate Resources at Toyota Motor North America. These leaders shared not only the stories of how they achieved success in business, but also how they have responded to the death of George Floyd and other current events, and what we can do to have more black CEOs and corporate leaders.

At the end of the evening, they answered several questions from the audience and touched on how our church can take action in living out our beliefs.
