On Saturday, August 22, school spirit and HPUMC pride were both on full display as hundreds of cars motored by Highland Park United Methodist Church for Drive-Thru Day #2.

Students, teachers, and parents received lots of love and encouragement from HPUMC staff members for the school year ahead. Of course, that’s not all they got. Genesis booklets for our upcoming Bible Reading Plan were passed out along with HPUMC-themed masks.

In addition to the joy of simply getting to see each other’s smiling (and masked) faces in person, there were plenty of other fun activities. Our Children’s Ministry handed out goodie bags of school supplies for kids while our Youth and Confirmation pastors were able to greet new and returning students. Plus, we had a prayer walled that congregants filled up with handwritten notes to pray over.

Didn’t get a chance to join us? Check out all the fun we had on Instagram! Just visit our profile and click the "Drive-Thru Day" highlight or watch the recap video above.

On Sunday, HPUMC also launched a brand-new website for online worship!

With the refresh of our online platform, we made worshiping virtually as one church easier and more interactive than ever before with user-friendly access to the service, announcements, prayer requests, Scripture, a live chat, and more.

You can check out the new website here.

Wondering what’s happening next at HPUMC? (There’s a lot).

After all, fall is a time of gathering together, and we plan to do just that with our church family. Worshiping online. Studying the Bible. Responding to current events. Supporting each other.

We may not be back to normal just yet, but you can still grow closer to Jesus Christ and connect with others in new, unique ways.

So, whether you live locally or halfway across the globe, we invite you to explore all the opportunities at HPUMC this fall and join us!
