As we prepare to usher in 2018, we want to take a moment to pause and look back at some of the incredible things that happened in the life of our church. Here are five things we want to highlight from 2017.
HPUMC launches new campus, The Grove Church.
On October 22, hundreds gathered at the Grand Opening of HPUMC’s newest campus in North Dallas. The new campus is one of several proposed through HPUMC’s Beyond Capital Campaign that also kicked off in 2017. Paul and Ashley Rasmussen offer advice at Marriage Quarterly
HPUMC Senior Minister Paul Rasmussen and his wife Ashley shared stories about how they met and answered questions about their marriage in February at Marriage Quarterly. HPUMC breaks ground on the Tolleson Family Activity Center
HPUMC took a giant step into its second century on August 30, 2017, with the groundbreaking ceremony for the new Tolleson Family Activity Center. The building is the capstone of a multi-million dollar capital campaign inspired by the church’s centennial milestone celebrated in February 2016. The building features dedicated space for Family Ministries, Special Needs Ministry, a new gymnasium and more parking spaces!
The Jesters Academy of Theater and Film produces their first short film.
Three Chefs. Two secret agents. One secret Canoli Supreme. “Canoli” is an action-packed story destined to make you laugh! The story takes us from a pleasant evening at a cozy Italian restaurant to an all-out secret agent showdown. Our friends with special needs wrote the film and acted in it as well. Watch their hard work come to fruition in the video above!
