The Tolleson Family Activity Center continues to take shape across the street from Highland Park United Methodist Church’s Mockingbird Campus.
Just a few months ago, the final beam was placed at the top of the third floor of the building, marking a significant moment in the structure’s construction. Now, crews are busy adding the first bricks to the outside of the Tolleson Family Activity Center!
The building’s roof has already been completed, along with all of the wall framing and concrete work inside and outside. The underground parking levels are also coming together, estimated to be around 90-percent completed.
In September, several of HPUMC’s staff members, ministry leaders, and the Board of Trustees were able to get a sneak peek inside the building.
The Tolleson Family Activity center is part of the $65 million dollar Beyond Capital Campaign and will include space for HPUMC’s Special Needs Ministry, Family Ministries, a brand new worship venue, and a full-size gymnasium.
Construction is on schedule to be completed by early March 2019.
