Easter is an incredibly important day in the life of the Church and in our lives as deeply devoted followers of Christ. We want to make sure you have the best experience possible on this exciting day of celebration and resurrection. This list includes several helpful tips for navigating Easter Sunday (or Saturday!).

  1. Cornerstone Easter Travelers' Service
    Saturday, March 31 | 5:00 pm | Wesley Hall

For the first time, HPUMC is offering a contemporary worship service on Saturday evening. This service will be identical to the ones offered in Wesley Hall on Sunday morning.
  2. Easter Vigil
Saturday, March 31 | 8:30 pm | Meet in the Garden

This very special and unique service offers the chance to prepare your heart for Christ's resurrection through the symbols of light, word, water, and the heavenly banquet. Come experience Easter in a new, deeply meaningful way. This service will begin in the Garden (located outside of the sanctuary) and will be longer than our usual hour-long services.
  3. Easter Sunrise Service
    Sunday, April 1 | 6:45 am | Arden Forest

This early morning service is perfect for families and individuals alike. Show up in pajamas or dressed in your Easter best. Blankets will be available up front for seating or feel free to bring your own. Come early for tacos, coffee, and donut holes starting at 6:15 am.
  4. Shuttle Service
Sunday, April 1 | Starting at 7:30 am

If you attend any of the three services listed above, you will enjoy easy and convenient parking! For all other Sunday morning services, we encourage everyone who is able to park in the Moody or Binkley Garage and hop on the shuttle. It will drop you off right in front of the church. For a map of these garages and more information about the shuttle, visit hpumc.org/parking.
  5. Special Needs Easter Service
    Sunday, April 1 | 12:30 pm | Room 120

Join Rev. Ramsey Patton for the first-ever Special Needs Easter Service. It is our hope and prayer that this service is a welcome place for those with special needs, their families and friends, and all who have a heart for special needs.
  6. Easter Offering
Every penny of the Easter Offering goes exclusively to fight poverty in Dallas and around the world. We encourage people to set aside $40 to give on Easter. $40 can give two people sight through cataract surgery at our clinic in Haiti, feed a child for a month at the Methodist Children's Home of Costa Rica, pay the electric bill for a month for a CitySquare cottage resident, and a whole lot more. Whether you can give $4, $40, (or $4,000), every gift counts. Bring your gift to worship or give online at hpumc.org/offering.
  7. Worship Live on Easter
At HPUMC, we are blessed to have so many incredible members and visitors eager to worship on Easter. This often leads to a need for overflow seating. If you find yourself in overflow, but you would prefer a live worship experience, ask a greeter or staff member to guide you to one of our many venue options. For a list of all 14 Easter services, visit hpumc.org/easter.

We can’t wait to worship with you! If you have any other questions regarding Easter or Holy week, visit hpumc.org/easter.
