When congregants come back for in-person worship at Highland Park United Methodist Church, Rev. Paul Rasmussen wants everyone to be safe, feel safe, and have a meaningful experience. That’s why HPUMC is working diligently toward the goal of being back in the church in early August.

“We are getting closer and closer to being back in this building,” Rev. Rasmussen said. “But we are not day driven, we are data-driven.”

If HPUMC opened right now, only 130 people would be allowed to attend worship in the sanctuary, wearing masks and not singing any songs.

“I miss you all,” Rev. Rasmussen said. “I can’t wait to see you in-person. In the meantime, you’re in my prayers, and I can’t wait to see you soon.”
