3rd Grade Bibles

Do you need a Bible?
We want people of all ages to know they matter in our church. If you’ve never received a third-grade Bible, please let us know! We’d love to give you one (no matter your age). Email burnleyt@hpumc.org for more information.
We gifted over 150 Bibles to third graders this past Sunday, September 18, in Sanctuary at 9:30 am and Cornerstone at 11 am! As each third grader made their way to the stage, they were handed a Bible with a handwritten label that was prayed over by a dedicated volunteer.
The 3rd Grade Bible Ceremony is a long-standing tradition at HPUMC, in which we provide third graders with the powerful tool of a Bible that’s all their own. This year’s third-grade students have now been given this tool and are invited to worship and experience the Holy Spirit in each of our worship venues.
Receiving their Bible is just the beginning for these third graders. As students who are becoming confident readers, they will dive into their Bible in a practical way over the school year—reading it, highlighting it, and learning how to use it in their daily life to answer questions they have, learn more about God, and deepen their faith.
The goal of HPUMC Kids is that when kids leave the elementary program, they will know the basic truths of Scripture, carrying these crucial truths with them through each stage of life.
