Grudges

Ever held a grudge? You know, that feeling of bitterness and resentment against people who have hurt you. And you just can’t let it go! Of course, you have. We all do. Sometimes we hold grudges toward people, but we can also hold grudges against God when we feel like He’s inactive in our lives. In this series, we’ll look at what God has to say about letting go of those past hurts.

A Better 2021

We all want 2021 to be better, but we won’t just stumble into a better year. There are certain ways of living that will impact how fulfilling this year can be for each of us, from meaningful prayers to making room for “the new” and more. During this series, we’ll explore how we can make our new normal better than the old one.

Hurry

Slow down. Refocus. Take a deep breath. Live in the moment. When was the last time we did any of that?

This January, we’re encouraging you to get more out of life by doing less, as we dig into John Mark Comer’s book, “The Ruthless Elimination of Hurry.”

Fittingly, we encourage you to read it at your own pace. Talk about it with your family. Discuss it with your small group. Or just soak it up by yourself.

We hope that you’ll join us!

Evolution From Darwin to CRISPR

Join Rev. Walt Marcum for an eight-week series exploring the topic of evolution and the Christian faith. The series will cover evolution prior to Darwin, study Darwin’s theory, and the reaction to that theory. We will then study Gregor Mendel, the reaction to Neo-Darwinism, and the rise of modern genetics. The series will conclude with a look at the CRISPR revolution.

Let There Be Light

This time of year, we experience fewer hours of daylight and more darkness outside. But what about inside of us and around us — in our lives and communities? With a global pandemic, racial injustice, and so much more going on, most of us are drained. We feel tired, depressed, and hopeless.

But there is hope. There is a light that overpowers the darkness.

If you’re in search of peace, control, or anything else, join us this Advent season for our “Let There Be Light” sermon series.

“The people walking in darkness have seen a great light; on those living in the land of deep darkness, a light has dawned.”

–Isaiah 9:2
