Cornerstone
Stories not only invite us into other people’s lives, but they also influence how we see and act within our own. Put simply: the stories I consume impact how I see and act within my own story. Some stories bring me up, some bring me down. I go to bed uplifted after watching some shows (I’m looking at you, Ted Lasso) and anxious after others (we watched one episode of Ozark and never returned - for this reason). The stories we consume influence us more than we realize. It’s not as if we turn 18 and all of a sudden everything is safe for consumption.
