Join us as the Rejebian book review series celebrates its 70th season this summer. Rejebian welcomes authors and book reviewers to discuss a new literary work each week. Books will be available for purchase only at events where the speaker is also the author.
The speaking portion of the event remains free to the public, but with space limitations due to construction, registration is now required. The event will begin at 7 pm in the historic HPUMC Sanctuary, where the doors will open at 6 pm.
Dinner seating begins at 5:30 pm in the Bush Family Confirmation Center on the third floor for $20 per person. This year, dinner reservations are available only online for any speaking date. Phone reservations and payments at the door will not be accepted, and there are no refunds or transfers. Please make your dinner reservations by Noon on the Friday prior to the speaking event.
Sign up for the Rejebian newsletter to receive updates and links to watch events on-demand.
A Note From David Rejebian
Welcome to the Rejebian book review series for 2026. This summer will be our 70th season of Rejebian. Started in 1956 by my grandparents, Ermance and Vahram Rejebian, as a way to give back to the church they loved so much. They would be so happy to see how we have grown and evolved over the years.
We can’t wait to welcome you this summer to the Sanctuary, as our normal home, Wesley Hall, is undergoing an exciting renovation. Rest assured, though, that while the location may change just a little, the programs will be as exciting as always!
See you on June 10!

Rejebian Series Presents Larry Wansley: "Tough Streets, Rough Skies, and Sunday Sidelines"
While reading Tough Streets, Rough Skies, and Sunday Sidelines, readers may need to be reminded that it is a true story. From Larry Wansley’s days as a young police detective, dodging bullets while attempting to calm the Compton (California) race riots, to his leadership of a staff that identified the 9/11 hijackers, this globally respected security figure has written an action-packed recollection of his foot-to-the-pedal career. Written with two-time Edgar Award winner Carlton Stowers, Wansley’s autobiography runs the emotional gamut from terrifying to heartbreaking to laugh-out-loud funny, with the dangerous and high-drama situations that are often only found in fiction.
