This fall, we're launching a churchwide journey through Genesis.
We've chosen to read Genesis at this time, when our culture is discombobulated by a pandemic and much of life seems chaotic because in the beginning, God brings order out of chaos. It's what He does: He brings order and meaning and purpose from unformed and untamed matter. We need Him to do that still.
But Genesis isn't just about creation. It's the story of our formation as the people of God. These stories of family dysfunction, drama, and deception (along with eventual redemption) allow us to explore the big questions of life: Why am I here? What's my purpose? Who is God? What does he want from me? These questions have the power to reshape everything about the way we live.
Will you read with us?
Our church will be reading Genesis together, and we want your whole family to take part! We are starting a weekly family devotional where we'll break down the Genesis reading into a bite-sized video that you and your kids can watch together. At the end of the devotional, we'll leave with you with some questions to talk about at home. You'll get to hear from our pastors, staff, and even kids in our ministry! We hope this video makes it easy to engage and exciting to learn about the first book of the Bible as a family.
