Wilkinson Center provides access to healthy food for many families in the Dallas area who are struggling to put food on the table. They are in need of volunteers to help assist in their food pantry, help clients check in, shop alongside clients, help bag groceries, pack food boxes, and restock shelves. Volunteer shifts are three hours on Monday through Thursday from 8:30 to 11:30 am or 11 am to 1:30 pm.

Volunteers need to be 16 or over, or 12 or over with a parent present. Background check is required for everyone over 18.

Support our neighbors by volunteering at Austin Street Center! There is something for all ages and ability levels. You can help at the Welcome Center, support in the donations area, serve meals, help in the garden, and more! There is always a way to serve the needs of Austin Street Center clients. There are opportunities for families, individuals, small groups, and larger groups.

Carpenters for Christ partners with Habitat for Humanity in Dallas to build affordable homes for families. Join us during one of our builds (spring and fall) to help build a house alongside our incredible team. These days are fun and rewarding as we help Dallas residents realize the dream of having their very own home. Build days are Saturdays (7:45 am-3 pm) and periodic Wednesdays. Any volunteers 16 or 17 years old have to be accompanied by a parent.

Each Saturday, Christ's Foundry distributes bread and baked goods to neighbors in need. We are seeking volunteers who will go to our two partner stores, pick up the bread and baked goods (stores will have them ready), and deliver them to Christ's Foundry. Bread will be ready to be picked up at 9 am each Saturday morning, then delivered to Christ's Foundry by 10 am for distribution. Do you have a medical background (RN, PA, MD, etc.) and are looking to meet other church members while working hard and providing medical care to individuals and families in rural Costa Rica? Then our medical Mission Trip in the summer is just the thing for you! The trip is open to volunteers who work in the medical field.

Would you like to meet other church members and get better connected while working hard and providing construction support to the Methodist Children's Home of Costa Rica? Then one of our trips in spring or fall would be just the thing for you! Join us in experiencing the community and joy of this mission trip. This trip is open to volunteers age 21 and older.

Hope Supply Co. supports families and mothers with infants and young children with needs including diapers, wipes, baby formula, and more. Sign up with a small group to help Hope Supply Co. organize and package items for families in need.

Journey is a dementia respite program. Volunteers are paired with a participant with dementia to help them in activities. The program meets each Thursdays from 9:45 am to 2:15 pm to provide respite for the caregivers of participants. We have music, exercise, brain games, low-impact activities, social time, and more.

Background check required.

Literacy Achieves is in need of teachers for their Adult English Language classes that help immigrant and refugee adults learn English. Teachers are needed for two hours a week during 12-week semesters. Training is provided for anyone who would like to volunteer. No prior English teaching experience is required.

Would you and your Sunday School class or Small Group like to organize a supplies drive for one of our incredible partners? Our partners are regularly in need of supplies to continue their impactful work. Help them make a difference in the lives of our neighbors!

Project Transformation provides reading and math support for low-income elementary-aged students who are falling behind in school through after-school and summer programming. Sign up to be a tutor for some incredible kids who just need a little extra support on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4 to 6 pm.
