"The Lord is near to the brokenhearted, and saves the crushed in spirit." - Psalm 34:18

How you can help

Pray for those affected and for the relief and recovery efforts.

Donate to our Emergency and Disaster Relief Fund. HPUMC maintains a disaster response fund that enables us to respond quickly in times of unexpected need. We work with churches and partner agencies in affected areas to ensure funds go directly to relief efforts.

Hurricane Ian

We are lifting up those in the path of Hurricane Ian as well as those affected by this storm’s devastation. Please join us in prayers for protection, courage, and wisdom for those in the midst of crisis and for those leading response efforts. We will update this page as more information becomes available.

Crisis in Ukraine

Our hearts are broken over the situation unfolding in Ukraine. We are praying for peace, for the people of Ukraine, and for our broken world. HPUMC is currently responding by partnering with two organizations to provide direct relief to those suffering as a result of this conflict. The United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR), is working with Methodist leadership in Ukraine and surrounding countries to provide humanitarian assistance, and Samaritan’s Purse is operating an emergency field hospital in western Ukraine, providing urgently needed surgery and care to the suffering and wounded.
