Mission
HPUMC Day School, a ministry of Highland Park United Methodist Church, serves to help people become deeply devoted followers of Jesus Christ.
Vision
Our vision is to provide an exceptional early childhood education that builds a strong, academic, social, emotional, and spiritual foundation rooted in the teachings of the United Methodist Church.
Philosophy
We believe that children are a gift from God, and in the early years, we must help build a solid Christian foundation.
Exceptional educational experiences rooted in developmentally appropriate practices lead to a love of learning.
Mutual and respectful partnership with school families leads to student success and a strong school community.
A safe and nurturing environment can help each child reach their full potential.
Curriculum Overview
Our research-based curriculum is focused on the whole child with an understanding that children learn best through play. Our lessons expose the children to a wide variety of learning activities so that they learn to thrive in all areas of development. Our lessons are developmentally appropriate for the age of the child and our teachers understand the importance of differentiating activities to meet the needs of each child.
