Facility Rental

HPUMC has identified specific spaces that are available for meetings and events when not otherwise reserved for HPUMC ministries. Third-party rental fees are listed, and non-profit prices may be available. Rental fees help HPUMC offset the cost of staff, custodial, tech and production, security, and other expenses related to maintaining our property.

Priorities

When determining space availability, HPUMC uses the following order of priority:

  1. HPUMC meetings, ministry programs and events

  2. Community Partners of HPUMC, United Methodist District and Conference events

  3. Other requests for use of HPUMC facility

Appropriate Use Policies

Space availability, the nature of your use, and HPUMC staff scheduling will be considered in reviewing the event request. HPUMC’s leadership team has adopted the Care and Usage Expectations to help define appropriate use of our facility. Below are six policies to make special note of:

Partnerships
HPUMC does not enter into any formal affiliations or partnerships.

Fundraisers
Any fundraiser or solicitation of funds that will be held on HPUMC campus during events must be approved in advance by HPUMC Leadership.

Political Activities
HPUMC does not offer rental services for events of a political or sales nature.

Outside Speakers
HPUMC requires that any outside speaker be approved in advance by HPUMC Leadership prior to booking or signing a contract.

Weapons
HPUMC does not permit any person to carry a weapon in our Church or School. This prohibition applies even if the person is licensed to carry a concealed weapon under Texas law.

Alcohol
The serving or consumption of alcoholic beverages is prohibited at all HPUMC functions, including those held on any HPUMC campus.

Facility Rental Request Process

To initiate your request:

  1. Fill out the Facility Rental Request Form HERE.

  2. Allow 14 days to process your request.

  3. You will receive an email letting you know whether your request has been approved.
    If your event is approved, the email will include a Facility Usage Agreement specific to your event to sign and return. A Certificate of Insurance will also be required. For unincorporated users, a copy of homeowners’ insurance policy may meet this requirement.

  4. You will receive a final invoice within 30 days following your event with instructions regarding your payment options.
