The Old Testament is approximately 85% of our Protestant Bible. The New Testament and our faith as Christians is based on the Old Testament, its narrative, events, and characters. In this series, we will survey the grand scope and structure of the Old Testament. The class will do an overview of the major events and characters, as well as an overview of each book, from the creation narrative in Genesis up to the time of Jesus. We will also cover what is known as the intertestamental period, the time in which the Old Testament was compiled. We invite you to join us for this exploration of the Old Testament.
You can attend class, along with an optional lunch, or live stream the class. In addition, class members will receive the PowerPoint each week, as well as a link to a video recording of the week’s lesson.
