Highland Park United Methodist Church’s history is forever linked with Southern Methodist University. The first services of the University Church, the forerunner of HPUMC, were held in February 1916 on the campus of SMU. Now, over 100 years later, we are still connected. On Sunday, August 25, as students and their families arrive on campus for Stampede (SMU’s move-in week), we hope you will join us in welcoming them to SMU/HPUMC Sunday in either the Sanctuary or Cornerstone worship services at 11 am.
