Welcome to the journey of motherhood! This season of life is such a wonderful time. Here at HPUMC, we offer the First-Time Moms Group for first-time mothers of newborns up to one year old. Come with your new baby and meet other first-time mothers in the same season of life.

Beyond the Broken Heart

If you are grieving the death of a loved one or friend and feel lonely or overwhelmed by sadness, join us on a journey through grief. Julie Yarbrough, author and HPUMC church member, will lead a “Beyond the Broken Heart” grief support group. This class will be held weekly on Tuesdays, Sept. 13 through Oct. 18.

C.S. Lewis and the Quest for the Meaning of Life

In this fast-paced, energetic twelve-week course, we’ll examine Lewis’s most penetrating, illuminating, and inspiring writings. Each weekly session will consist of independent, at-home reading followed by in-class viewing of a series of talks given by Dr. Michael Ward of Oxford, a man the New York Times has called “the foremost living Lewis scholar.” This class will be held weekly on Tuesdays, Sept. 13 through Dec. 20.

Tuesday Knights Men's Bible Study: The Cross

The cross transforms everything: our worship, our call to mission, our ability to love our enemies and face the perplexities of suffering. This study brings us to the heart of the cross with an understanding of what was accomplished there on our behalf. Our mission is to support spiritual growth, fellowship, and community service among men, helping them to mature as disciples of Christ, primarily through Bible study. This is an ongoing group that meets on Tuesdays weekly from July 12 through Oc. 11. New guests are welcome anytime!

Using the book “30 Days to Understanding the Bible” by Max Anders, this class will give you an overview of the Bible’s layout, story arc, key people, and events, so you can get more out of God’s word. In this study, you will gain a beginning knowledge that you can use to build a more complete understanding in the years ahead.
