While C.S. Lewis Narnia series is considered a classic, some, including Lewis’ best friend, J.R.R. Tolkien (author of “The Lord of the Rings”), have found the stories lacking coherence.

In this class, we’ll work our way through the seven books that make up “The Chronicles of Narnia,” drinking in wonder along the way. But we’ll also focus on a coherence—a hidden structure, if you will—recently discovered by Dr. Michael Ward of Oxford, a preeminent Lewis scholar. Could it really be that the Seven Heavens of medieval cosmology are the keys to understanding Narnia? Join us as we attempt to answer that question!

This class is held weekly on Tuesdays, Jan. 17 through March 28, 2023.

There is no charge for this class, but you will need to purchase “The Complete Chronicles of Narnia,” by C.S. Lewis, a set of seven books.
