Sometimes life as a young adult feels overwhelming and unrelenting. You’re making big decisions, figuring out who you are, and navigating a world that often seems harsh and uncertain. We all face moments that feel like the wilderness—when we’re stretched, struggling, and waiting for hope to appear.
Encounter is a class for young adults to explore the story of the Bible and discuss what it means for life today. This spring, we’re journeying into the wilderness. In the Bible, the wilderness is both the worst and best place to be: a space of challenge and scarcity that also has the potential for deep formation. We’ll let it teach us how to navigate hardship and discover the God who provides shade in the heat, streams in the desert, and just enough strength for the next step.
