Enhance your spiritual journey by creating and learning to pray with a simple yet elegant set of prayer beads you design. These beads will serve as a tangible reminder of God's presence and your ongoing connection in life. In this class, you will learn basic techniques for stringing and selecting meaningful materials to design your own set of prayer beads. We will explore the history and spiritual significance of each component and section, examining bead counts, materials, and designs rooted in the Protestant tradition. Through weekly guided practices and discussions, you'll discover how to infuse your beads with personal prayers, affirmations, or aspirations, transforming them into a powerful aid for your spiritual practice.
This is a five-week class. In the first week, you will create your set of prayer beads.
*Please note that attending the first class is essential to ensure you have sufficient time to make your prayer beads.
