Night OWLS Family Camp FAQ
Where is Camp John Marc (CJM)?
The campsite is located 85 miles southwest of Dallas. It is west of Waco and south of Cleburne. Campers should allow at least two hours for travel to CJM. Please refer to the map we will send you with directions to camp—this is more reliable than GPS.
What is the cost to attend camp?
There is no fee for families or volunteers to attend camp! Camp John Marc assumes two-thirds of the cost of camp and HPUMC assumes the other third, as well as any other costs for camp (t-shirts, supplies, etc.).
What are the living accommodations for the weekend?
Each family will be assigned to a private cabin for the weekend. Each cabin has a single-sized bed for every family member, hot water, air conditioning, and heat. Family lodges are available for families who need refrigeration and/or a microwave in their cabin.
Night OWLS volunteers will be assigned to a cabin with up to nine other Night OWLS volunteers of the same sex. Each cabin has a single-sized bed for each person, hot water, air conditioning, and heat.
