Stephen was born in the most average city in America, Wichita Falls, Texas. Growing up there Stephen had a fun and adventurous childhood. Stephen loved (and still loves) playing soccer. He has a great family who loves and supports him. Stephen's father was Methodist and his mother Pentecostal, so Stephen's Sundays were filled with many different worship experiences. After graduating from Wichita Falls High School, Stephen headed down to Texas A&M University. After college graduation, Stephen enrolled at Perkins School of Theology at Southern Methodist University. During his time at Perkins, Stephen started working with Walt Marcum in the Confirmation program. While full time at Perkins and part time at HPUMC, a full time position in Junior High Ministry opened and Stephen transitioned into part time school and full time ministry. As most church careers do, Stephen's work here has changed and is no longer just for Junior High, but includes Senior High as the Youth Worship Director. While not working at the church Stephen enjoys cooking, exercising, adventure sports, watching movies, and music. If you want to challenge Stephen to a match of ping-pong, head on down to the youth basement and start up a game!

Describe your perfect day... waking up early, going to the gym and them coming home to make a big breakfast while listening to some great music. Spend the rest of the morning reading, then going to do something active like soccer or rock climbing. Then lunch outside on a patio followed by an late afternoon movie. For the evening, a dinner party with close friends, cooking lots of great food listening to equally as great music. The dinner would have tons of laughter. After dinner an impromptu dance party!
