The Highland Park United Methodist Church Youth Choir (grades 6-12) is open to ALL the youth of the church. No audition or choral experience is necessary. They meet each Sunday evening during the school year from 4:30 - 5:45 p.m. for rehearsal, and they share their voices in Sunday morning worship services on a regular basis.
Each February, in addition to special concerts throughout the year, the music ministry sponsors a fantastic musical revue, Dessert Theatre, to raise funds for the summer Youth Choir Tour. This show is a huge favorite every year and the money that is raised helps enable the choir to travel and share their Christian witness with church members and various mission outreach programs. Past trips have included New York, Massachusetts, Georgia, New Mexico, Arizona, Seattle, Florida, British Columbia, and Washington, D.C. The June 2009 tour will be revealed at the Kick Off Party!
