Adults
Adult Sunday School offers a supportive community where people can grow in their faith, knowledge of the Bible, and love of God.  We believe that Sunday School for adults helps to form men and women as Christian disciples by studying scripture, sharing fellowship with other believers, caring for and nurturing class members, and serving those in need.  Classes are offered for people at every stage of life–singles of all ages, nearly- and newly-married couples, parents of children and youth, older adults–and in a variety of formats–Bible study, lecture, and group discussion.

Child Development Program
As we read in Psalm 127, “Children are a gift of the Lord,” and it is our mission to assist parents in nurturing the spiritual, physical, emotional, social, academic and aesthetic growth of our precious children.  Though developmentally appropriate activities and play, children develop the skills and develop their God-given talents that will form the foundation of happy, fruitful lives.  The CDP family joins together for worship and fellowship as we celebrate the gifts of a loving community and learn what it means when we say, “God loves me, and God loves everyone!”

Children's Ministries
Children's Ministry exists to provide and promote opportunities for our children and their families to know Jesus and to worship God through praise and service.  We share the love of Jesus Christ with others and intentionally shepherd children while teaching the Bible and equipping them for Christian growth.

College Ministries
The purpose of Common Ground is to provide college students the opportunity to be involved in a local church by encouraging participation in worship, and within our Sunday school class setting to offer opportunities for spiritual growth, emotional support, social fellowship and mission and outreach to the local community. Through these means we hope to encourage students to grow in Christian leadership.

Connect & Serve
As members of the Body of Christ we are called to be in ministry, sharing the love of Jesus Christ through serving others in our church and the community.  Whether you are just beginning your journey of faith and asking questions, or a Christian mature in your faith, we want to support you as you take a next step in your commitment to be loyal to the Church. "May we join hands with you to worship, to learn, and to serve, doing so in joy, knowing that we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us."  (Phil.4:13)

Cornerstone
Contemporary in style, Cornerstone blends the very best of United Methodist heritage with the latest in multi-media technology. With its high energy and dynamic music, Cornerstone links bible-based preaching with contemporary life application. It's an uplifting hour of Christian worship.

Library Ministry
The mission of the HPUMC Library is to maintain, strengthen, and continually improve all resources for learning, teaching, spiritual growth, inspiration, and enjoyment of members and visitors of our church.  By reaching large numbers of children, youth and adults in this way, we are unleashing their lives to move in new and rewarding directions.  The Library offers members and visitors a continuous, meaningful volunteer opportunity for fellowship, the reward of helping others, and service to their church.

Mission & Outreach …Serving Neighbors Near & Far
At HPUMC, we believe that we are each called to respond to God's love by serving God's people. When we demonstrate our faith in God by serving our neighbors, we create an opportunity for God to work not only in others’ lives, but in our own lives as well.  We invite you to put your faith into action, beginning in your neighborhood, community and extending throughout the world.

New Members

Prayer Ministry
HPUMC ‘s Prayer Tower warriors are a group of loving, caring believers who faithful pray for the needs of people, the nation and the world. Daily and hourly, they intercede on the behalf of those your call or send in their prayer requests.

Recreation and Sports
Recreation Ministries was designed to promote health and fitness while in a safe, positive, Christian environment.

Senior Adult Ministry
Senior Adult Ministry exists to provide a place for senior adults to grow in their Christian faith.  Growing in our faith is a life-long learning process. We seek to provide a friendly place for fellowship, and spiritual and personal growth.

Single Adult Ministry
The purpose of the HPUMC Single Adult Ministry is to minister to and empower single adults in their journey toward spiritual, personal and relational wholeness through a variety of programs, classes and activities; to seek God's word and purpose for our lives; and to affirm and reach out to all single adults providing a Christian environment of love and support, all of this being offered in a community of grace.

Youth Ministry
The Youth ministry of Highland Park United Methodist Church is designed to provide an environment in which youth (grades 6-12) can have fun and grow in Christian love and commitment. HPUMC provides numerous activities, events and small groups to give youth a chance to learn, grow, strengthen their faith, and make friends.
