Melissa Paxton

Melissa spent the majority of her childhood in Lubbock, TX where her parents still reside.  She has a brother in Austin who she is very proud of (because he is so smart!).  Melissa earned her MBA at Texas Tech University and joined a Christian rock band along the way.  The band was contacted by Highland Park United Methodist Church in 1998 to do the music for a new contemporary worship service.  Five of the six band members moved to Dallas to play at CORNERSTONE.  Melissa met Bill Paxton in July 2002 and they married less than 2 years later.  Melissa works at Holmes Murphy, a benefits consulting firm.  In her spare time, she loves to sing, read, work out, and play with her two dogs ("Milly" the Maltese and "Mick" the Australian Shepherd).
