Music

Music is something that has touched people from the beginning of time.  It helps us to say things we may not otherwise be able to articulate.  It connects us with others, and it connects us with God.  Some of the most beautiful lyrics ever written can be found in the book of Psalms, and many modern lyrics are often borrowed from scripture.  In Cornerstone, we believe that the music we make is a gift to God.  The band is not here to put on a rock concert, but rather to support each member of the congregation as they lift their voices in praise.  They like to think of themselves as your back-up band.

The musicians who play in Cornerstone are some of the most talented around, and our Worship Leader, Dave Wilson, has recorded numerous singles and albums.  It is not uncommon to hear "secular music" in Cornerstone.  Dave often says, "Just because a song isn't about God, that doesn't mean it isn't from God. One of our main goals in Cornerstone is to add new spiritual meaning to familiar songs, so that the next time you are listening to your radio or iPod, you might hear things a little differently.
