Volunteer Opportunities

Turner Twelve is in need of tutors for high school Algebra, Geometry, English and Biology on Mondays-Thursdays from 4pm-6pm.

Project Transformation  Homework tutors are needed at Project Transformation’s after-school programs for children in low-income neighborhoods in Dallas on Monday – Thursday, 3:30pm – 4:30pm. Programs are housed in urban United Methodist churches. Body & Soul - St. Paul's UMC
Serve breakfast to the homeless
To further strengthen our relationship with our sister church, St. Paul UMC, we are helping with Body & Soul, their homeless outreach program every 5th Saturday.  10 – 15 volunteers are needed to help serve (not cook) breakfast to 100 homeless.  The commitment begins at 8:30 am at the downtown church and ends at 11:00 am on March 29, May 31, Aug 30 and Nov 29.  If you would like to help with this outreach please email Connect & Serve at luederl@hpumc.org.

Methodism's Breadbasket - canned meats, canned foods with easy-open tops, rice, beans, travel toiletries

Dickinson Place - complete puzzles, books, canned fruit

Genesis Women's Shelter - used (but working) cell phones

All items can be dropped off with Jennifer Tankersley on the third floor in office 310.
