Just as we have for nearly 100 years, HPUMC is honoring its legacy of planting new faith communities. The first, historic Munger Place United Methodist Church, will occur beginning in the summer of 2009. WE will refresh this remarkable facility and plant an entirely new contemporary worship community in the heart of East Dallas. Along with its 30-plus sister churches started by HPUMC, the Munger Place campus will take on its own community identity and become a beacon of hope and spirituality in this dynamic neighborhood.

The second, in Addison, will be phased in over the next three years as Cornerstone spreads into one of Dallas’ most rapidly transforming suburbs. Presently, there are no Methodist churches servicing Addison, and Cornerstone has the opportunity to bring its contemporary worship style right into the middle of this rapidly growing community.

Cost: Estimated $4-5 million for Munger renewal, an additional $3 million to launch Addison
