The Cornerstone community of Highland Park United Methodist Church is embarking on a bold new endeavor to expand its ministry and respond willingly to the blessings God has bestowed upon s. With your prayerful help, the GeneratioNext campaign is designed to achieve this three-part initiative:
Wallace Building Renovations: Expand the Wallace building fellowship space to be culturally relevant and serviceable to young adults by reconfiguring Wesley Hall with a dynamic new fellowship area, coffee shop and the addition of 210 seats.
Youth Facilities: Convert nearly 12,000 square feet of rarely used basement space into a state-of-the-art youth ministry center, worship venue and youth office suite.
Munger Place and Extension Campuses: Launch two satellite campuses in East Dallas and Addison. These facilities will house new faith communities and allow us to spread our ministry across the Metroplex.
As a part of the Cornerstone family, you will see several more communications about this campaign during the coming months. With a mission rooted in prayer, an economically responsible pan and a vision for evangelism, Cornerstone has before it an extraordinary opportunity to be a pioneer for the Christian faith and the United Methodist Church.
Construction will commence in April 2009 with an expected completion date in November. And design and plans for the satellite campuses will begin in the fall of 2009. No debt will be entered into to fund the vision. It will be paid for exclusively by capital raised in this campaign.
