Floating Teacher (full-time)
Child Development Program

Lead or help lead child care classes when regular teachers are absent, as well as filling in during the school day.  Floating teachers work 8 hours per day, Monday through Friday, year-round, sometimes on a slightly varying schedule.  If desired, promotion to a regular teaching/care position may be possible based on performance in this position.

Requirements

  • Education:  Minimum of Child Development Associate (CDA) credential required.  Associate's or Bachelor's degree in early childhood education or child development preferred
  • Experience working with young children in a licensed child care facility
  • CPR and First Aid certification (can be completed while employed)
  • Demonstrated skill in working with children, planning developmentally appropriate lessons, guiding children, interacting positively with parents and co-workers
  • Commitment to continuing professional education
  • Committed Christian

Working Hours:  40 hours weekly, usually 9:00-6:00, but can vary according to classroom needs
