Mission
Family Gateway, in cooperation with the religious community, private sector and governmental entities, provides comprehensive services to children whose families are in crisis. The programs offerred are intended to restore dignity, stability and self-sufficiency to the family unit, as well as create an atmosphere of emotional, social and economic empowerment.

Since it's inception in 1986, Family Gateway has become one of the largest non-profit providers of services to homeless families with children in Dallas County. The goal of Family Gateway hasn't changed over the years; by first helping parents help themselves, children will have a better chance to live the life they deserve. Because of this continuous dedication to improving the lives of these families and the committment to the community, over 3,000 families have achieved self-sufficiency and children are now in a more secure and stable home environment.
