Cox Chapel Worship Services

Spiritually Reflective Worship in the Methodist Tradition

The 11:00 a.m. service includes liturgy, scripture readings, a sermon by  Rev. Jeff Hall,  holy communion,  organ music, and traditional sacred anthems sung by the newly formed Cox Chapel Singers, under the direction of Chris Brunt.  Associate Pastor Barbara Marcum serves as liturgist.  Methodist worship is historically descendent from Anglo-Catholic worship.

Each Sunday, worshippers gather to share in a joyful and transforming service within the stone walls and Gothic architecture of Cox Chapel.  These grace-filled services invite congregants to draw closer to God and be empowered for discipleship.  Employing an artform of the ages, the liturgy offers a means of connecting with God.  Moments of silence are filled by the Spirit of the Lord;  meditative worship brings life-changing insight into the Word.

If you are searching for a service that uplifts the mind, the heart, and the soul, you will find it at HPUMC's Cox Chapel each Sunday at 11:00 a.m.
