Cox Chapel

8:30am - Eucharist (spoken)

11:00am - Eucharist (sung)

This magnificent Gothic-style chapel is home to a number of vibrant worshiping communities which we invite you to explore  At the heart of the life of the chapel are the two Communion worship services offered every Sunday morning at 8:30 and 11:00.  Though different in style, both services engage in congregational singing and praying, hearing and reflecting on God’s Word in the scriptures and preaching, and celebrating God’s loving and transforming presence in the sacrament of the Lord’s Supper.

We invite you to join us for worship in this majestic chapel, and in the words of the psalm, to “Enter God’s gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise.”

Cox Chapel "Vision for Change" 2010

The Vision for Change is just that: a vision to change our community, our world, and ourselves by participating in Jesus’ vision of a transformed world that the Gospels call the kingdom of God.  Throughout his earthly ministry Jesus changed the world by doing two things: he taught the word of God and he healed those who were sick.  Often these ministries go hand-in-hand.  As Christians, those who are called to listen to and obey Jesus, we are enabled by God’s Spirit to do the world-changing work that Jesus did.  The shared vision for those who worship in Cox Chapel is that we be Christians for change by investing ourselves, our financial gifts, and our time in the two ministries of teaching and healing.  The two congregations that worship weekly in the chapel–some 125 people–accepted the challenge to raise $100,000 to underwrite world-changing work, whether that ministry happens here in Dallas or in another part of the world, and to create a permanent endowment that enables us to continue this work far into the future.  Project Summary...
