First Time Moms

“First Time Mothers” are invited with their babies to a Casual Sharing group.

Afterwards the moms form a playgroup for those that would like to participate. These groups can meet at the church, in a home or park…your choice and are self-led.

The group will be limited to 12 new mothers and will cost $30 (scholarships available). Please contact Mary Bishop, Pastoral Care, if you are interested in joining (214.523.2202 or bishopm@hpumc.org).

FYI: We will share our birth stories, tips on sleep schedules, eating and general health issues. You will make new church friends for both you and your baby. Other topics are “Finding Time for Me,” “Finding Time for the Marriage,” basic Child Development Stages and Practical Resources and Activities in Town.

The moms from the prior groups tell me they are so glad they came to “The First Time Moms group.” It was hard getting out the door with an infant but the friends they have made have been well worth it. Many of the groups still meet twice a month or monthly sharing their lives together as Christ would have it
