Mission
To provide comfortable, affordable apartment living and programming to enhance spiritual, personal and social well-being of all residents.
Services
Dickinson Place is a 165-apartment facility for persons age 62 years or older or persons who may benefit from the modifications of affordable, barrier-free living. Dickinson Place provides a number of planned activities and programs for the benefit and enjoyment of its residents, and was started by HPUMC to honor the memory of former senior pastor Bill Dickinson.
Volunteer Opportunities
Long Term
- Transport residents to grocery store, medical appts., arts and crafts groups
- Assist in food pantry or resale shop
- Assist with office work
- Teachers to provide educational classes in a variety of subjects, including computers, painting, etc. for residents.
Short Term
- Gardening
- Assist with bingo
- Special events - sponsor parties and social events for residents
