On January 12, 2019, Carpenters for Christ will kick off its annual Twin Build when it partners with Habitat for Humanity to build two homes simultaneously right next door to each other.
We hope you'll join us for a full volunteer day since Habitat has cut its workday to seven hours (8:00 AM - 3:00 PM including lunch). AM and PM shifts are still available. Remember no experience required!

Addresses: 2926 and 2932 Rochester Street in Bonton neighborhood, Dallas, Texas
Day 1 Saturday, January 26: Walls.
Day 2 Wednesday, January 30:: Load and stand trusses.
Day 3 Saturday, February 2: Finish framing, blue board, cut windows.
Day 4 Saturday, February 9: Install windows, fascia, and porch columns.
Day 5 Saturday, February 16: Begin siding, exterior trim.
Day 6 Saturday, February 23: Continue siding and trim. Begin paint prep.
Day 7 Saturday, March 2: Painting and final trim.
Day 8 Saturday, March 9: Punch list. Hold dedication.
Lunch, water, and snacks are provided.
8:00 am - Arrive, check-in
12:00 pm - Lunch (provided for morning workers)
12:30 pm - Work resumes
3:30 pm - Site clean-up, work concludes

What to wear/bring:
- season appropriate work clothing/gear (we work rain or shine)
- closed-toe shoes
- head covering
- work gloves
- hammer and nail belt, if you have them
Build Site Age Limitations:
- Under 16: Not allowed on the build site until the dedication day
- 16 and 17: Allowed to pick up a hammer and build but not operate power tools or get on the roof; must have one adult over 21 per five youth of this age; parent must sign a release form.
- 18+: No restrictions
