Carpenters For Christ

Moving families out of poverty for over 20 Years

For over 20 years Highland Park United Methodist Church and Habitat for Humanity have partnered together to build homes, communities and hope. We are excited to celebrate our work together, which has brought into existence over 100 homes in the Dallas area and more than 200 more homes around the world. In 2016 we expanded our commitment to the year 2020 to include a total of 500 homes worldwide. Learn how you can become a part of this life-changing partnership.

History

The HPUMC relationship with Habitat for Humanity dates back 20 years and embodies some of the Church's deepest principles, taken from the heart of the New Testament. The Apostle James says in Chapter 2, verse 18: "But someone will say 'You have faith; I have deeds.' Show me your faith without deeds, and I will show you my faith by what I do."
