Spiritual Formation for Moms

This fall, Spiritual Formation for Moms will read We Saved You A Seat,  by Lisa-Jo Baker. This Bible study explores our relationship with Jesus as the ultimate model for authentic friendship.

In this busy world, we too often try to appear ‘fine’, warding off authenticity and avoiding intimate friendships with the women God has placed in our lives. Yet nothing shapes us like the impact of a friend, that’s how Jesus radically and intimately connects with us. So instead of chasing perfection, overcome your fear of being known and find the courage to connect.

Women’s Bible Fellowship: Goliath Must Fall

God has a plan for each of us, but we often lose sight of that promise.  Adversity or strongholds are giants in our lives, ones that can defeat us and leave us settling for less than God’s best. God has a plan for you to defeat rejection, anger, fear, comfort or addiction. This book by pastor Louie Giglio will teach you to slay your giants by keeping your eyes on Jesus, the one and only giant-slayer.

As you learn about the life of Peter, you will discover the ways in which God can use you today.

HPUMC Women’s Bible Study: Light of the World: A Beginner’s Guide to Advent

This study explores the biblical texts surrounding the story of the birth of Jesus. Join as we trace the Christmas narrative through the stories of Mary, Zechariah and Elizabeth, the journey to Bethlehem and the visit from the Magi. These stories open conversations around connections of the Gospel stories to the Old Testament, the role of women in first-century Jewish culture, the importance of Mary’s visitation and the revolutionary implications of Mary’s Magnificat, the census and the stable, the star of Bethlehem and the flight to Egypt.
