Living Vine
Couples & Singles, ages mid 20s – 30s

This diverse class seeks to grow in their relationship with God and each other by becoming a faith-based community of caring, engaged believers. A variety of Sunday morning programming (including outside speakers and class members), service to church and community, and fellowship will create a formation of lasting, long-term relationships. Class begins with coffee time and fellowship followed by the lesson and discussion.

As the name, Open Table, suggests, all are welcome regardless of age, marital status or church experience. We value diversity of life experiences and differing perspectives because we feel there is something to learn from each other. Our desire is to explore our questions and doubts openly through study of the Bible, scholarship, prayer and discussion in a comfortable setting, believing this will strengthen and deepen our faith. 

Cross Walk
Adults with Special Needs, All ages

Room 221

Adults with special needs are invited to join in this new and exciting Sunday morning class. Together, we will learn more about the Bible and our faith, meeting each participant at their own level. Crosswalk members will also have the opportunity to create friendships and enjoy fellowship with other class members.

Power Up
Parents & Volunteers of Youth

Power Up is a class for the parents and volunteer leaders of 7th–12th grade youth. The group meets during the nine months of the school year to read and discuss Scripture and topics associated with the upcoming weekly youth programming. As a community, they share information about developmental issues and hot topics related to teens, pray together, and enjoy fellowship. Power Up partners with the Youth Ministry to provide support and feedback to staff and volunteers.

Fellowship

The Fellowship Class, which began in 1985, studies the many spiritual issues facing this age group. Lessons are taught by class members, clergy, and guest teachers. This class has socials four times a year and are active in service with Austin Street Centre, The Bridge, Vision Africa, Wesley-Rankin, and Carpenters for Christ.

First Light
Couples and Singles, ages 50+

First Light begins with a lecture presentation and ends with thoughtful discussion. The lessons routinely challenge the class to apply Scripture and Christ's teaching to daily life. In response to Christ's mandate to care for others, First Light supports Austin Street Centre, Night OWLS, and Methodist Mission Home.

In His Steps
Couples & Singles, ages 50+

In His Steps is based on Bible study with time provided for questions and comments. Music is an integral part of the class. Some of the missions supported by the class include Carpenters for Christ, Austin Street Centre, New Friends New Life, Night OWLS and Saratov United Methodist Church in Russia.

A different inspirational speaker comes weekly to share a fresh revelation of what God is teaching him/her and how biblical principles can apply to everyday life. The Word Class believes the Bible is the inerrant word of God. This class is actively involved with the Outreach Camp Scholarship Fund and Reconciliation Outreach.

Discovery
Couples & Singles, ages 55+

A variety of outside speakers and class members present lessons including Bible study, current events, educational and inspirational programs, and discussion of social issues. Outreach areas where this class serves include North Texas Food Bank, Carpenters for Christ, Wilkinson Center, Genesis Women's Shelter, Night OWLS, Turner 12, Interfaith Housing Coalition, and Austin Street Centre.

New Life Fellowship
Couples & Singles, ages 60+

This group is a discussion class helping its members and visitors strive to grow in faith and understanding. Discussions apply Scripture to life through the study of best-selling books on faith and religion. Members of this group support the church by serving as teachers, ushers and greeters on most Sunday mornings.

Seekers
Couples & Singles, ages 60+
Wednesdays, 6:30 PM
Room 120

Speakers include ministers, congregants, class members, and representatives from community agencies. A variety of biblically-based topics are offered. Class members serve with Carpenters for Christ, Night OWLS, Austin Street Centre and Dickinson Place. John Wesley
Couples & Singles, ages 65+

Believing that the Bible is the inerrant word of God, this class is an interactive Bible study that begins with a hymn sing. This class supports with gifts and time the Austin Street Centre, Habitat for Humanity, Dickinson Place and Night OWLS.

Roundtable
Couples & Singles, ages 65+

Room 210

Coffee, cookies, hymns, prayer, announcements and a lesson with lively discussion led by outside and member teachers shape this class. Topics include the Bible, Christian family life, missions, community life, and understanding other religions. This class is active in areas of service for the Haiti Eye Clinic, Genesis Women's Shelter, Wilkinson Center, Dickinson Place, North Texas Food Bank, Night OWLS, and Meals on Wheels.

Wesleyan Fellowship
Couples & Singles, ages 65+

This class is dedicated to the spiritual growth and enlightenment of each member through the study of God's Holy Word and its application to daily life, and the strengthening of each member's faith through Christian fellowship, love, care, concern and outreach. Wesleyan Fellowship responds to Christ's love by caring for those associated with the Outreach Camp Scholarship Fund, Meals on Wheels, Carpenters for Christ, Wesley-Rankin, and Costa Rica Methodist Children’s Home.

Two by Two aims to encourage and develop a better understanding of biblical teachings and how to apply them to everyday living. This class generously supports more than 14 local agencies and ministries, including Dickinson Place, Outreach Camp Scholarship Fund and Wilkinson Center.
